Côte d'Azure is all about that colour blue. I remember the first time I visited I couldn't get over the breathtaking richness of it, how it contrasts to set and support everything else. It is encompassing, the foundation or very essence of the place, that single element without which you would only have ordinariness, blandness and total indifference.  I love watching white sails drift over and through its colour. There is a graphic quality to it, providing scenes full contrast, so distinct and stark, full of sharpness of edge. Yet for all of that it provides a feeling of effortless style, style which is relaxed but exclusive, not driven or defined in monetary terms but in presence and poise alone.

It is a place where no matter what happens the light always provides that stylish escape.
